Dear AGAC whanau,
This week, some of us attended the diocesan ministry conference held at St. Margaret Anglican Church in Hillsborough.
The conference has a guest speaker from the UK who will be a real treat: Sam Wells, who’s a vicar and public theologian, author of many books and a professor of Christian Ethics. He will be sharing his material on “Being With” as a paradigm for ministry and mission.

It sheds a very helpful light on the underpinnings of our ministries also the Selwyn Centre and Space. I think that “Being With” is an excellent lens for us to use when we’re thinking about our engagement with our community, right down to the details of how we organise our outreach activity.
Jesus certainly embodied this model with people while he was on earth. I will try my best to practice this model in my life and ministry.
